For about two years, I’d been carrying around an idea for a Halloween shot, but it just never came together… Then one day, I saw a bright orange Lamborghini Murciélago at a big car meet hosted by The Motorist. I reached out to Simon (Drivers_keepers), and we arranged a shoot.

We used several pumpkins, a skeleton, ribbons, and a witch’s hat. You can also see a shot of my cat, Kotka, that I took last Halloween, which gave me the idea to do a similar “inside the pumpkin” shot but with a car.

Now, a few words about the car: once, I was flipping through an issue of Evo magazine (April 2005) and saw an orange Murciélago with a familiar license plate. At first, I thought I was mistaken, but I double-checked my photos from the Motorist event, and it turned out to be the exact same car!

Its owner, Simon, bought it new in 2004, wrote articles about it for the magazine, and still drives it nearly daily. He’s traveled all over Europe in it. As of today, the car has 302,000 miles. What an incredible story!
