How to work on the visuals of the social media

How I was a client of a flower shop, and eventually became part of the company.  So, what do we have? A flower workshop (Roots Flowers): beautiful designer bouquets, excellent florists, and a business owner with good aesthetic taste. All of this needed beautiful packaging on social media, and the catalog on the website needed to be taken to a new level.

Searching and developing a photographic style

The maximum they did photos taken was a few times a year, sometimes they did photo shoots in a photo studio. I came at a time of change and had to make these changes. At first, I took photos of everything I could out of the workshop and the surrounding areas. Luckily, I had florists with a lot of enthusiasm for this. A couple of months later, we started practicing studio photography: we selected models, bought clothes, called a makeup artist, made bouquets, and went to shoot. Gradually, our desires grew, and it was decided to hire another photographer. If I was strong in still life photography, then my new colleague loved photographing people. So we successfully complemented each other.

What was done to improve the brand’s visual

So, briefly about what we did to improve the visual aspect and develop our own corporate style. I experimented with textures (backgrounds, props), took many photos with people (models or florists), was always looking for photo studios and new locations, experimented with lighting (flashes and LED light, hard or soft light, etc.), increased our awareness (searching for references), came up with images and situations, and so on.

We all created and received the result in beautiful photographs, lots of likes (high engagement in social media), and numerous comments on social media (increased brand loyalty).

Creative photos allowed us to attract attention, save advertising budgets (as good content works better in advertising), and build a loyal community around the brand.

And now about the headline. Indeed, once upon a time, I started buying flowers at this workshop, and about a year later, I saw a vacancy for a photographer. So I became part of this team and continued to buy beautiful bouquets there.
